Requirements: 1. DOOM 1.6 (registered)
2. A PC that will run DOOM.
(Tested on a 486DLC-40 /8Mb RAM/ MIDI+Sound Blaster)
3. Install the new floors for the full graphics effects!
What it is: JCM2-16.WAD is an EXTERNAL WAD file known as a "Patch WAD".
This will in no way alter your original DOOM game!
JCM2.BAT starts DOOM with the command line parameter
"-file JCM2-16.WAD". DOOM will use data in the add-on WAD
instead of the original data in the factory-supplied
DOOM.WAD.
Usage: This add-on episode is easy to use - just move JCM2-16.WAD
and JCM2.BAT into your DOOM directory and type: JCM2
<RETURN> to start doom. When started with JCM.BAT2, the
nine original levels of "The Shores of Hell" will
be replaced with 9 new ones!
Installing floors: Installing the floor tiles DOES modify DOOM.WAD but
this can be restored whenever you like.
Simply unzip JCMFLOOR.ZIP in your DOOM directory
and run NEWFLOOR.BAT ...your original floors will be
saved to a directory called "\OLDGRAPH" for later
restoration. NEWFLOOR.BAT will also erase all the
GIF working files and leave only OLDFLOOR.BAT so it
won't clutter up your DOOM dir.
Step by Step: Move JCM2-16.WAD and JCM2.BAT into your DOOM directory.
Type JCM2 and press RETURN.
DOOM will display a notice that the game has been modified.
Press ENTER to continue loading.
At the DOOM main menu, select NEW GAME.
At the episode menu select JCM Episode II.
Select any difficulty level you like (it's ALL ULTRA
VIOLENCE!) ...enjoy nine MORE levels of DOOM!
Demos: This add-on WAD comes with built-in demos, just like
the original. Just load the add-on as described above.
When you reach the DOOM intro screen, don't press
any keys - DOOM will automatically run thru the 3
replacement demo sequences. NOTE: these updated DEMOs will
NOT work properly with versions of DOOM earlier than 1.6.
More Demos: In case you are having trouble completing any of the
levels. complete add-on demos for all 9 levels are
also available: Look for JCM2-16D.ZIP where you
found this file.
The Soundtrack: This edition of JCM2-16.WAD features mutated MIDI versions
of music from the Technician: Digital Dreaming CD...

Game Notes
This Patch Wad supplies DOOM with 9 new replacement levels for
episode 2, built completely from scratch using DEU 5.21, DMAUD 1.1
and DMGRAPH 1.0, plus many home-made custom utilities. (see credits
below) Time to complete this patch: 200+ hours.
For you beginner doomies - sorry, no time to add easy settings
- over 200 hours were already logged into this one. If you really
need help, use IDDQD (god mode) or IDKFA (very happy ammo) to get
things to go your way. (P.S. these cheats DON'T work in
multiplayer modes!)
If you're the hero type, start each level using IDCLEV and
don't use the cheats. Once you're in the game, try starting a
level by typing:
IDCLEV 1 M (where M = the mission number 1 thru 9)
(don't include the spaces)
Every level in JCM2-16.WAD can be completed WITHOUT CHEATING, even
if you start with just the pistol!
Some hidden walls can be a real mudpig to find... USE YOUR AUTOMAP!

previous sound package releases (authors unknown) and added,
